Rental Terms & Conditions

SALES TAX – State sales tax is not included in the cost of the rental but will be added at the rate required by the State.
INSURANCE – Lessee is responsible for proof of insurance coverage. Lessee must provide a proof of insurance certificate naming Carlson Tractor & Equipment as loss payee and additional insured, for the full value of the rental unit(s).
DELIVERY – Lessee is responsible for transportation of rental unit(s). If trucking by Carlson Tractor & Equipment is required, an additional fee(s) will be applied to the rental amount. All trucking must follow State DOT guidelines during transit of rental unit(s).
OPERATOR – Lessee is responsible for safe and proper operation of the rental unit(s).
FUEL – Lessee is responsible for the refueling of rental unit(s). All rental units start out with full tanks of fuel, they must be returned with full tanks of fuel; if not refueled, the lessee will be responsible for all refueling costs.
DAMAGE & MAINTENANCE – Lessee is responsible for the periodic maintenance of the rental unit (s) (oil, filters, grease, etc…). Lessee is responsible for all damages beyond normal wear and tear, and for the clean up of the rental unit (s). The cost to repair damaged equipment resulting from improper use or lack of maintenance will be charged to the lessee.
USAGE – Rental rates are based on an eight (8) hour day, 40 hour week, and 160 hour four week month. Overtime hours charged as 1/8 daily rate, 1/40 weekly rate & 1/160 (4 week) monthly rate.
RENTAL PERIOD – Rental period begins at the time the rental unit(s) is picked up from Carlson Tractor & Equipment and ends at the time the rental unit(s) is returned to Carlson Tractor & Equipment. Reasonable time allowed for freight to and from.
RENTAL PAYMENTS –Rental invoices are payable one month in advance. The first rental invoice is to be paid at the time of rental. The next invoice will be sent out immediately following the payment of the first, and will be due before the starting of the rental date(s) listed on the invoice. This pertains to all succeeding invoices as well.
