Shingle Recycling
One of our products we are very excited about is the
Peterson Pacific 4700B Asphalt Shingle Grinder. Asphalt shingles represent approximately 10 percent of the construction demolition debris that currently enters the waste stream. Liquid asphalt makes us as much as 20-30% of the content of asphalt shingles. Every day virgin liquid asphalt is procured for use in asphalt pavement. Recycling asphalt shingles into asphalt pavements mixtures reduces the use of non-renewable oil, and in some cases has been proven to increase th performance of the asphalt pavement mixture.
Filling landfills unnecessarily is an environmental issue, and wastes a valuable resource that could be recycled into a useful product. The unique design of Peterson’s Horizontal Grinders make them well suited to reduce asphalt shingles into a product that is an excellent ingredient for hot mix asphalt (HMA) Minimizing oversize material is an important factor in providing consistent, high quality asphalt. In order to provide a total solution for your shingle grinding operation we also offer various options of screeners to both pre and post grind screen your shingles, as well as picking stations to ensure a clean product is produced.

Steel Recycling
If your in the steel scrap industry we can help you with all your equipment needs. Both Kobelco and Kawasaki build machines with packages specific for your industry. Kawasaki offers special applications packages that include additional guarding, hot slag, quick couplers and additional auxiliary hydraulics as well as many other features that make the Kawasaki the premier wheel loader in the industry.
We can outfit a Kobelco excavator with a genset to power a magnet, additional hydraulics to power a fixed or swinging rotating grapple such as a Rotobec, or to power a sheer. We are proud to sell BTI (An Astec Company) sheers.
